why is my 1.4 automatic car extremely slow when i pull off or break at lights,once the car picks up speed its fine,untill i stop again, i have just had a service. what could be the reason,

it would seem that seeing that your car is an automatic the symtoms you discribe sugests it could be a fault with the torque converter.but check your automatic gear box fluid before you condem the torque converter as a low fluid level can produce these symtoms.if you have just had the car serviced then the garage were it was done should have checked the auomatic gear box fluid level !.

my car was new in 1999.and the mileage is 45000 so i dont think its had its days yet do you?
