Vertical cracks in bricks

Hi. I bough a house last year and had a mid range survey done (can't remember the name but it cost 520). It threw up a few points but nothing major. However, once we were in, my Dad came to visit and pointed out that several bricks (below bathroom window and above kitchen window) were cracked in half vertically. He says this is potentially serious. The survey mentions cracked bricks but doesn't specify where and suggests it is age related only. Can anyone advise on how serious it may be and what I should do to resolve it? Thank you

katy - from what you say it seems like subsidence of the foundations(how serious ?) Whoever did the survey should have noticed this -fairly obvious problem -if they are only hairline cracks they may well have been there for years-so no major worries
