a few years back there was acomic strip type show,a one off, it featured all the detectives Jason King ,Jack Reagan etc Jason King just wanted to drink a fine wine.Jack Reagan wanted to shout "guv"all the time and Bodey and Doyle just wanted to run about with no trousers on and shout "cover me" while splashing in puddles.Anyone remember it? Anyone remember what it was called?There was another one like Mike Basset with the bloke from Auld Viedersane Pet as the swearing manager, the pitch was on a slope and no matter what the injury the sponge man would always say "right get your shorts off"

You sure it wasn't actually the "Comic Strip"? They did one called "The Bullsh*tters" that spoofed "The Professionals" and it had a semi sequel "Detectives On The Edge Of A Nervous Breakdown" where the detectives of the 70's had to work out who was killing the 80's and 90's detectives. Don't know about the footie one - which bloke from AWP?

I think the second show you are talking about was a one-off film made for TV called "Bostock's Cup" starring Tim Healy which was about third division club Bostock Stanley gathering for a celebratory dinner 25 years after a famous F.A. cup giantkilling win .
