My hair was previously a mousey blonde colour, and I had a full head of blonde highlights done with bleach but im sick of getting my roots done? So if I buy a hair kit and dye it all one colour of blonde will my roots be a different colour to the rest of my hair? Help?
I dont know for definite, but I think your roots will be a different colour. I have often seen girls with gingery-blonde hair and white-blonde roots. This looks like they have put home dye over another colour.
I know when i get my roots done, the hairdresser is quite specific with the time the blonde is on my roots so that it matches the rest.
I'd definitely go back to a hairdresser for any kind of colour change.
Hi, depending on how light your hair is now, to what shade you want it to be, I would go for a colour starting with a 9, preferably a baby blonde, it wont go too dark then. Or you could get some darker lowlights put in, to tone the bleach down. If you are doing it yourself, put colour on lengths & ends first, then go back to roots, get a friend to help, bit tricky on your own. Good luck, Jane
I used Garnier Belle Colour 111. My hair is natrually a mousey brown colour. To avoid that ginger or brass blonde try to pick one that has the word Ash in the name. I usually start by putting the dry along my roots (divide hair into sections to ensure even coverage) and hair line leave to develop, then combe through to create highlighted sections, and leave to develop again.
Obviously I am not a hairdresser, But I like you struggled to get to the hairdressers so regularly so started to do it myself. I have done it myself for years now, and no ginger nightmares!
