I've always wanted to ask this.

For believers and non believers.
According to the Bible/Torah, Koron and other Holy writings, God has always been, so, regardless of how long he had existed, my question is,
Why do you suppose he suddenly, after all that time, to create ours and other Universes?, and more specifically, our planet, which has nothing on it, except parasites?.

Its good to see you on here, I hope your well,
You;ve come away from the question, but don't worry, you've voiced questions that i've thought about quite often.
Rational adults can make their own decisions, ie, where to live, what to do ect,
Its the innocents, children, animals, plants.
During the War, some Jews said it was 'Gods will' as they went into the Gas Chambers, really?,
Just look at the destruction, by Nature, and by Man, since creation,
And the destructions by man, (wars etc), have mostly been done in a Gods name.
Its said that God knows everything that wll happen, and that he loves us,
Got a good way of showing it.
As for feeling down, I aplogise to you, and all the others that have noticed, fom the way I've posted, a few problems that only I can sort out.
I posted the way I was feeling, and shouldn't have done.
I'll email you later and also do the usual for you.

Lonnie, like Ray, I don't debate or involve myself in what I call 'verbal gymnastics' as it rarely achieves anything, no one is any the wiser - and what's more, again like Ray says - I ain't clever enough either! This may show you how I see things:
Last year we moved house. You know how much I love wildlife, particularly birds, so we found a place very near a plantation, where I could cycle in safety and be surrounded by nature whenever the weather was good. My first visit to the plantation was last summer and my joy turned to horror, then to anger. The place that was to be my refuge was full of darkness. The conifers were so close together no light could filter in - my imagination ran wild and all I could see was evil in the darkness. No birdsong, just eerie silence. At home I burst into tears of anger and frustration. What on earth had possessed me to think this was a place of beauty?
The months passed and two weeks ago I went again to the same plantation, but this time something happened. The trees hadn't moved, they were still tightly packed together, but where there was darkness before, sunlight was streaming through and the pine trees were alive with twittering and flitting birds. I stopped in disbelief at the transformation. Buzzards were mewing above me, Blackbirds were practising their songs and a couple of Red Admiral butterflies were basking in the early sunshine. The darkness had gone.
This has stayed with me Lonnie. I now know that there is indeed a time for everything. A time to reap, a time to sow as the song says. Yes, there is darkness, blackest of black, but you only need a tiny glimmer to change that darkness into light.

Cetti, thank you, that was so beautifully worded, words are so simple yet so hard to put in such a way as you have just done, Nature is my god,my church is the field outside my house, the sky is the roof and the trees that surround the field are its walls, I lay in that field sometimes gazing at the ceiling, the coulours are forever changing, sometimes it is dark, full of stars, sometimes it is so bright it blinds me, some times the water comes in, the walls change colour and birds, foxes, rabbits, baggers etc, run around in my church,do I mind? No, I welcome it, nature is the most wonderful thing, the one constant in our lifes and I am so lucky to live so near to my local church, I know this is not an answer to Lonnies question, but it is what I believe.
Sorry Lonnie, please e-mail me Lonnie if you wnt to ever talk I am here to Listen, thank you for your friendship, you are a really genuine man, snd for the gesture at the bottom of your reply, take care, Ray

Cetti and Ray,
Thankyou both for those beautifully put words, like you both, I love Nature, its just lately, possibly related to the problems I have at the moment, that my thoughts are, shall we say, turning a bit negative, and its up to me to lift myself out of it.
Cetti,
You make that place sound like a paradise, if your not a poet, you should be, (I still have that picture you took of the Robins), and as the Poets might say, you wax lyrical.
I understand what your saying about the darkness and light, but at the present, the darkness is overpowering the light, and will do for the forseeable future, because I can only see one ending.
However, I want very much to thank both you and Ray for coming back with such marvellous posts.

I hope you will know that I would not impose preaching upon you , Lonnie... but we'd all like to help and can only offer that which has been proven in our own lives. Thanks, once more to Cetti since she, inherently, always has the most appropriate words... May I just suggest that, as a member of the People of the Book, please take a minute to read, firstly Joel 2:32, followed by Paslm 91... In the Old Covenant, i can find nothing that reaches the soaring, uplifting thoughts expressed in both... Shalom, my friend Yevarechecha Adonai Ve'yishmerecha. Ya'er Adonai panayv eylecha vi'chuneka. Yissa Adonai panayv eylecha ve'yaseym lecha. Shalom... shalom.
Lonnie........ Its enough to depress anybody. When you look around and see what is happening. The earth is a beautiful place. Nature is wonderful, and when it is not intrefered with by man it works wonderfully. The only fly in the ointment is us. Due to our greed and lust for power, egged on by our superior mindset we are slowly destroying it . It is heartbreaking to think of all the animal species that are are extinct or on the verge of extinction because we have hunted them or destroyed their habitat. We have a lot to answer for. And the irony is that we think we are so sophisticated, intelligent etc. I don' t think so! Everything that is ugly in this world is man made. If I was God and had the power I would get rid of man.
Persianlady,
Ref certain of my posts, you'll have to excuse me, got a touch of 'Black Dog', but your right,
In the Natural world, when one species becomes extinct, another rises to take its place,
Unfortunately, as you rightly say, Man is here, and upsetting the balance of nature.
About the worst thing a God could do, is give a species, (man), freedom of will.
