Think a few politicians could do with a few lessons in sharing from her.

It goes some way to restore your faith in human nature doesn't it? Pity there aren't more like her.
Personally, I think that nice people far outweigh the 'nasty ones' they just don't get the publicity (it doesn't make headline news usually). These two ladies had an agreement to share any winnings - I am sure that most of us would have stood by that agreement. I am no angel, but I certainly would have.

(I don't know about politicians though - I have my doubts there!)
It's a lovely story for a change , someone actually being kind and keeping their friendship promise. ;-)
Not really being nice is it, she is just honouring an agreement. Something millions of us do that one way or another everyday.
Are you suggesting this is extraordinary, or that most people would renege on a deal?
I think tigerlily was making a comparision with some politicians gromit.

These are the people who are forever making U-Turns on promises that they have made.

But surely this can't be true. The Daily Mail make it all up if we are to believe some of the idiots on here.

I,m so used to hearing nothing but bad news. To hear about some one doing the right thing for a change.
I have heard of people who have lost friends through making agreements like this one and then going back on it. This lady has shown some honesty and intergrity in a world where even those who profess to be capable rulers of this country constantly go back on their word.
No amount of money would make up for losing a good and trusty friend tigerlily.

This is true, but some people do value money above friendship.
