Question for gasman (or anyone) should I go for this boiler above? Also will there be enough pressure from it for a shower? Also, how can it heat the water so quickly that it is hot when I need it and I don't need a tank? Its not on alll the time heating unnecessary water is it?

Hi lukey,

You cant go wrong with a Worcester CDi boiler in my opinion it one of the best out there at present and I recomend + install them on a regular basis. The Greenstar CDi boiler series is part of a market-leading range of energy-saving condensing gas-fired boilers from Worcester. They can cut heating and hot water bills by between 15-20% - and theyre up to 30% cheaper to run than an older boiler.

Greenstar condensing boilers deliver this energy-saving performance by recycling exhaust gases to extract and re-use latent heat - a highly efficient use of energy which also significantly reduces carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Key features of the Greenstar CDi condensing boilers
include the separate plate domestic hot water heat
exchanger, which is guaranteed for 5 years. This, combined with the keep hot facility, ensures that hot
water is delivered instantly to the tap. It is not on all the time just When a hot water tap is turned on the incoming mains water will activate a flow turbine which, via the electronic control system, ignites the pre-mix burner. Boiler output is automatically boosted to maximum to heat the incoming cold water as it passes through the heat exchanger. Electronic controls modulate the boiler output downwards to ensure the hot water temperature remains between 40 and 60C
(as set by the consumer).

If you want to run a shower off it that will be no problem providing you get a decent sized one. Personally the Worcester 37CDi is my choice they supply hot water at mains pressure, giving you exhilarating power showering without the need for a pump. And as, on average, a shower uses considerably less water than a typical bath, the savings on hot water costs and water consumption can be significant. and it is capable of delivering from 13 l/min - 15 l/min.

I hope i have answerd you're question here and good luck.
