Is it possible to execute an exe file from assembly code?
I don't know i might have been dreaming but i'm sure i did it once.

Pretty much anything can be done from assembler. After all assembler is complied into machine code, just as most other languages are. I imagine the easiest way would be through a call to the Windows API.
