I am a primary school teacher at the moment and would love to have the experience of teaching in a different environment to a regular school, e.g a hospital or a prison for example - does anyone have any experience of this and would I need any more qualifications to my BEd degree in primary Ed?

Just leave and do supply for a while. Then you will be able to try almost all areas. As long as you have a degree and PGCE.....the world is yours. Why not go abroad?

Thanks for your answer! I'm already abroad- in Portugal and LOVE it here, but need to go back for a few reasons, and now I know what teaching SHOULD be like, can't face going back to teaching in England, hence investgating the alternatives.
