I think an individual may be pre-disposed to diabetis.  I suggest avoiding sweet foods and generally leading a healthy life.

You've summed it up perfectly Snappy, at the beginning of your second sentence.

It's not  easy as most of us at some time or another have fallen prey to these people, but please try and put this out of your mind and live your life as normal.

Obviously we all need exercise, sleep, and a  reasonably healthy  diet -  but even doing everything right  some of us at some  time  will be ill, but don't let anything rule your life - just take it as it comes!

Snappy,  Just forget it.  This was a cruel and worrying thing to say to your mother.   What right have these so called psychics (sorry I just think it is a load of rubbish) to upset people in this way.  I presume they charge as well!

Keep yourself fit and healthy.  Eat wisely and exercise and then you are doing the best you can.

Type one diabetes generally is diagnosed before the age of 30 and needs to controlled with insulin, if you do get it.

Type two is often called 'late onset' diabetes and can be hereditary but is generally caused by poor diet and it is typically diagnosed later in life than type one.  This is usually controlled firstly by ajusting diet, then if that fails, by tablets and if this still doesn't work, by insulin injections.

I'd go along with the previous answers.  If you have a healthy diet and exercise, then you are at low risk ot Type 2.  Type 1 is hereditary, and is largely down to luck, but unless you have diabetes in the family this should not be an issue.

Can't for the life of me understand why people go to psychics!

Snappy - A so called psychic once told my sister that she couldn't see her living beyond 25 years of age! The worry she went through leading up to that birthday, you will never know. She is now 61 & is enjoying life.

Ignore what you have been told & get on with the rest of your life.

i am a clairvoyant,,,psychic etc..and have never told anyone anything like what is printed here in your questions and answers,,unfortunately their are some really bad clairvoyants out their that take up a set of tarot cards and read them as anything just to make themselves look sensational and to make money out of guilable people..i have 2 diplomas and 1 certificate in the study of tarot and can read them accurately...i also work within the icsts standards. and have been tested by some of the top psychic comp could work 7 days a week doing it as i am in demand but i choose not to the money doesnt interest me ..also i do lots of charity events for free...i dont even know where to tell you to go to find a genuine psychic,,as their are so many money mad psychics around..the only place you can get a reading for a minimal amount by mediums that have been trained is the spiritualist church,,the tarot cards all have health meanings and its how they are used which is the thing ..the person that decided you were diabetic is a waste of space...i am doing an evening next week and the man in charge said the last psychic he used told people they could see death around them and nearly everyone was told they had car crash deaths around them..its just a bad psychic...some of the psychics that are proffesional are just as bad they turn into money machines..i would just tell anyone reading this to be carefull where they go for readings..and if a psychic tells you anything bad then just tell them that as a responsible psychic do they think they should be frightening people..question what you are told dont believe everything we are all masters of our own destiny..mullein

Another reason to ignore it is there's a school of thought that suggests people can be susceptrible to suggestion, kinda like a placebo effect.  You believing in her 'abilities' and her being an 'authority' (and that was very sarcastic lol) can actually physically affect you.  Not saying I believe it, but it would certainly explain a lot of the reasons clairvoyants seem to be right.  For reading about that type of thing, read The Holographic Universe by James Talbot.

I suppose you're all right. Especially as i've just found out that this psychic cancelled the first meeting due to unforseen circumstances!! True!!

Oh Snappy, that's the funniest thing I've heard today :-D

Keep your sense of humour,  and keep all these type of people at arms length.
