We should take a leaf out of their book.

A video shot in the US of a 16 year old girl being severely beaten by six of her 'friends', apparently filmed solely to post on the internet, has led to the six girls and their two lookout male friends to be arrested. They are all minors, aged from 14 to 17, but the surprising thing is the local news media is not only showing the video, they've published the offenders names and photos. The result is their parents have been shamed too - some trying to lessen their actions, some obviously condemning it.
It seems we could do with some of that, naming and shaming could go a long way in some quarters (ok, admittedly not all)

Some low life scum now feel their only chance of celebrity and fame is to appear on some awful reality TV show, or post a video of themselves on the internet.
By promoting this video and the people involved the authorities are just giving them their extra 15 minutes of fame.
