Task bar

Had a problem logging on tonight and have lost my start menu task bar. Had to access internet through the task manager. Any help with how to recover the start menu will be greatly appreciated.

Hello MOUCHA , are you running windows Vista , or xp ?
Did you have your task bar before , perhaps you have it set hidden ? Try hovering your curser fight at the bottom of the screen then left click and drag up .
If that fails , right click on screen and look in properties.

Hi bigmamma. It's xp. Have already tried that but to no avail. I have no start button and have lost all my icons. Had a frozen screen tonight before I could log on to my broadband. Had to pull the plug on it and that is when it all went downhill. Never had this problem b4. No recent downloads to have messed it up. Twas all A.O.K. at lunch time and I logged off correctly then.

Ah................ have just found that Windows is running without add ons. Just doing an update search. Good here innit?

Have you got sorted yet MOUCHA ? It's a bit more complcated seeing as you seem to have lost your icons too x
