I apologise if somebody else has said this, but is it beyond the realms of possibility that Shannon herself was involved in her own kidnapping?

I know she is the under the age of criminal responsibility and you can not aid and abet could neglect if you are the child, but it is a feasible idea.

I would put nothing past this family of cheats, liars, criminals, child abusers and generally the most ugliest clan of peasants outside of Wales I have ever seen.

A man charged with Murder is allowed bail and murders again. This silly woman is certainly not gonna flee the country and is no danger to the Public gets remaded in custody. Bit Common though ain't she ?

I think she has been remanded in custody for her own safety, and although maybe the step uncle did not abduct her and was waiting for the mother to join him why didn't he just come forward and say he picked up Shannon not realising the trouble it had caused and act all innocent? The Police would have probably "slapped him on the wrist" for not telling anyone and no harm would have been done. So I do think he was well involved, did this "family" really believe the Police would give up looking or not take them seriously and then not ask questions once she was found.
It is quite dispicable the lengths some people go to in the name of greed. Karen Matthews should be given life and be sterilized she is not fit to call herself a mother.

3 More arrests have been made in this case........the stepfathers sister and mother again and a 29 year old woman.They have all been interviewed in relation to perverting the course of justice.

Thanks Ethel I didn't realise that but why am I not suprised, and this woman appparently was ready to move in with him with her children well at least Shannon what did she plan to do about the other three that lived with her, leave them with the step father. The whole affair is sickening.

As I understand it, he has not been charged with abduction (don't know if there is a specific charge) but with kidnapping - kidnapping could be covering the fact that he took her without her persmission in order for financial gain, which seems to fit.
