DVD recorders

I'm looking for a budget DVD recorder.
Does anyone know anything about the Yamada DVR8000 ?
I've read 2 reviews: 1 good (written by a mag) 1 bad (written by a punter).

or any ideas?

argos were advertising a lite-on dvd recorder for 120 quid.could buy it and try it out and if its not up to the job take it back within the 16 days
