Hi my car is a renault megane i am having difficulties with my gear stick when changing from one gear to another one.The gear stick gets very stiff and hard to manoeuvre, can you tell me what the problem is and how i can solve it , and also how much it would cost to get the problem fixed. Thanx.

hi sounds like you need your gear box topped up with oil

Could be the bushes where the gear linkage joins the gear box, these should be protected by a rubber boot but over timr these wear out or split and allow water in and grease out

i would have thought that sounds like a worn gear gate about �140 plus fitting
