I have just bought myself a box of beautiful yellow gerbera. But I know they don't last long as a cut flower. Can anyone suggest anything to prolong their display in the vase, please?

Soluble aspirin. One tab to 1 pint of water.
Gerbera - Cut stems with a sharp knife and place in a vase with water up to halfway full � Gerbera can flop so some supporting foliage is often a good idea.

also lemonade works
Half a t/sp sugar in 1 pint of water.
Paracetamol works too
