Winfixer

Bloody annoying thing. And whats worse is i know how i got it (windows media player xml exploit). I've removed most of it so its not showing popups and i've avoiding download winanonymous but there are a few files that are not going away.

I've tried some of the tutorials on the forms but they're not working for me. I've used special tools and they have not worked. This infection is so aqward.

Any help will be remembered!

What tools have you used so far?

So far i have manually deleted some regisrty keys and files. I've also used the following tools which have got rid of a couple of files.

Vundofix
Vundobegone
Combofix
Blacklight
Symantec vundo scanner
Many AV scanners and adware scanners that have failed top pick up anything.

Ok. You have used Combofix. We can use that again to finish the job, but I would need to see the logs, which would cover a lot of reply posts.

I managed to remove all of the winfixer i think. I've had a look at the ogs, ran hijack this and found nothing so it might have gone. If i get any problems i'll visit the site.
