Deep in my Computer ..
3 Answers
Somewhere in my computer, I have loads of files named PFC which are my personal filing cabinets, I know this at least. They are in my AOL screen names, some screen names which I still have and some which I don't any more. Do I need to keep any of these ? I also have old versions of AOL in there somewhere eg AOL8. Now I can't find them, can someone tell me how to find them and how to delete them if I don't need them any more? I have Windows XP and AOL version 9. I just want to get rid of things I don't need to keep any more and have a bit of a clean up but don't want to delete things that will affect AOL 9. Thanks all.

The files will run on Xp, but Xp will not run any PageScan scanner drivers that I am aware of (please tell me if you know of one).
Hope this info is not a waste of your time.

Sorry it's only me - and I am only trying to help. Not being a "techie" myself either, I do not know the jargon "AOL". If it is America-on-Line then try asking them.
Although I don't exactly know what you mean by "personal filing cabinets" (I am not an"AOL" user) perhaps in your case that is what PFC stands for, (obviously not "Papermaster Filing Cabinet" in your case).
I assumed that, if you know enough about the merits of cleaning up your files, you would know how to use the Xp "Search for Files and Folders" by clicking "Help and Support". Perhaps you have not tried that yet. From the sketchy info that you have given so far it is not possible for me to try to help you further, nor, it seems, many other "AB" forum users .
