Beaded Shrug

I have a beaded shrug bought a couple of Christmases ago, are they still OK to wear -- fashionable I mean ?? Also could I get away with a pair of wide black velvet evening trousers?? Both to be worn for a posh 'do'. Just don't want to be too old fashioned ...

Well as long as you feel comfortable wearing them, then it shouldn't be a problem.

I bought a brown chiffon beaded shrug in 2005 for a wedding, but haven't worn it since, as I do feel it's a bit dated. However, the description you give of your outfit, doesn't sound particularly old fashioned. If it's black then even better.

I think your outfit sounds good for a posh do. Just bec. it's not on the catwalk doesn't mean real people aren't still wearing them - I see them on v. fashionable women. If you're feeling comfortable and attractive in it, it will show and you'll look fabulous. Have fun.
