taped evidence UK?

I believe that my neighbour is-once again- audio-taping any discussions that take place in my house.
He's simply a weird old git who wants to get my daughter and I evicted because we choose not to speak to him.
I suspect that he has done this previously and presented such "evidence" to the housing association rep once he's edited the tapes and they won't confirm or deny this.
He also accused my daughter of causing a disturbance in the early hours with a friend, when I was able to say categorically that she was staying with her friend who lives twenty miles away until the afternoon of the following day!
If he is taping us, would those tapes be allowed as evidence in a magistrates' court?

Get on to the local council and they will
send you a diary to keep about him and also
you log as to where you were at the time ...
how is he recording your conversations ??
if he has drilled holes that is a criminal offence ..
he will be the one in court not you ..call the
police and they will go and check it out ...
yes, can be used as evidence, especially if he's trying to expose your criminal ways.
Oh no they can't, any reasonably abled person could edit an audio tape to reproduce just about anything that they wanted, and the Magistrate would not even listen to it,
u mean like the police, with a wire tap warrant?

Thanks for the sensible replies. They are a nutty famil, parents in 80's,daughter late 30's..Always go out together, walking dogs.Don't socialise outside their triangle! However, they are devious.Complained to police some years ago about Him videoing my (young then)daughters playing in the back garden in Summer and was told it was a 'grey'area, believe it or not!Accused my daughter of causing a disturbance in the early hours(to Housing Association).I pointed-out that I had proof that she was 20 miles away at that time!
For some reason, the housing association believe their unsubstantiated claims, whilst my daughter and I are guilty until proven innocent!Am tempted to move, but why should I have to?
