I had to buy a new mobile and I bought the vodafone 810. I had a samsung before and no problems with receiving calls.
I have missed one or two calls as the person ringing me is getting (THIS PHONE IS NOT IN SERVICE) .I have received calls from this same person and others and it was ok but why does it do this now and again. I am not happy with this phone .Can I take it back .I have not used the original sim card that came with it as I am on vodafone pay as you talk .I used the one I had in my Samsung.I have had the phone 3 weeks and would like to exchange it for a Samsung.

If the phone isn't working properly ie: You are not receiving calls then yes, of course you should take it back.

A few years ago my Nokia cleared itself of all it's ringtones, background pics, colours etc etc after I had had it for 3 months - Carphone Warehouse repaired it for me with no quibble

Thanks for reply .This phone was from Argos and it is excluded from the 30 day money back guarantee. It just seems to have a poor signal for receiving compared to my last one.So I will enquire and see what they say.
Excluded or not this will not affect your statutory rights - it doesn't do what it says on the tin therefore you can return it

3 weeks is less than 30 days anyway
phone trading standards they say you are entitled to have money back up to 7 yrs i think the money you have in return going down daily. But vodafone should really offer you a replacement or offer you for the phone to be sent away for repair, and if you dont agree about how long it takes to repair, the time is of the essence is a good one dont know about pay as u go though
