I have a rose growing in my garden with white blooms red blooms and one red and white bloom is this normal

When i was at school our science teacher taught us about soil and the coulour of a leaf on these sort of plants are affected by the acidity of the soil, so acidic soil will produce red non acidic blue neutral white pink for slightly acidic e.c.t he showed us on a blossom bush grown in three seperate soils i assume this is the same for roses
