Not a question, just wanted to share with ou how good it was,
House martins are back, busy building on the gable end under the eaves, woodpecker is back (brilliant) buzzards are nesting no more than 100 yards from my cottage, rabbits were playing in the field and the owls were out last night, isn't nature great.

Hiya fluffy, hope you are well, enjoy the walk along the banks, plenty to see, maybe some narrow boats drawn by horse, well not in the sense of the horse drawing a picture of the boat of course, :-) now that would be nice, but just the peace and your thoughts should make it a happy walk home, take your time and smell the sweet air, take care fluffy xx

It doesn't matter about the grammar, punctuation, etc. as there are people to correct that, it's the gift of being able to express yourself in such a poetic and inspiring way that is important. ray. I had an excellent education and I pride myself on my spelling, etc but wouldn't be able to express myself the way you do xx

Thank you yoga, you two really have made me very, very happy, nobody has ever said anything to me like that in my life before, it really does mean a lot, I am writing my diary of my life, but nobody has seen it, not even my wife of 37 years it is just a refelection of thnings and people that have happened to pass by and touched me, I have always been to afraid to let anybody look at it, maybe I will now, so thank you. xx
I have just looked at the house martins and one couple have finished building there home,they look so proud, a real self build, the happy couple look set to move in, wonder do they get as excited as we do at the thought of a new home? but with no mortgage of fuel bills, they will I hope be very happy, all else is quiet it seems far too hot for anything to move, even me, take care all, speak real soon, Ray xx

By the way, just saw a Holly Blue butterfly and there has been a blackbird singing continuously for three hours in a fir tree two gardens up - the bird song in our garden is fantastic at the moment. Will post when able xx

What an uplifting thread - thank you for posting it. I received your emails and I will reply to you. I have been away for a few days, so I'm still catching up with washing and housework.
In our garden we have blackbirds and robins building nests. There are also some starlings close by. Every morning 4 pheasants appear too. The male struts around his ladies. He is very comical. Unfortunately a younger male has been trying to encroach on his territory, and met an untimely death in the road. I had tears in my eyes when I found his body.
I'm glad life is peachy for you.

Ray, as yogasun has said, spelling and grammar are not what writing is all about. (That's what computers are for with their checks, etc.). It's the content and the ability to express thoughts and feelings so well to your readers and, my goodness, you certainly have that gift. Alfieblue and others have recognised it too.
Yes, we must keep up the nature threads and I look forward very much to this. xxxxx

Normally I would avoid a thread about 'birds' as they all look alike to me, but his has actually been quite different. Thanks for descibing the nature around you.
I love animals - but normally mammals - and find them very interesting to watch.
If you ever decide to to write your book give me a shout. I would love to write a book.
I am off to watch the two lions in my living room fighting over a toy mouse and a cardboard box.

Hi all, sorry for delay in replying, been really busy,
your replies have made me very happy, thank you all, I never expected any replies, just to be told not to post chat on this part,
today has been so hot, the day started so beautifully the meadow had a very deep dew on it and as the sunrose it glistened so brightly as if the whole field had millions of miniature chandeliers reflecting the sun back to the sky it seemed to have doubled the light, the buzzards were up early, scouting around screaching and arguing with the crows, the lambs are quiet too hot for them to jump today, house martins are still busy but compared to yesterday they are in slow motion, a chaffinch has taken over the bird bath as his own private pool, he flies off but as soon as another bird goes near he flies straight back jumps in the bath and makes splashes till the other bird flees, so funny to watch, the only other sound today is the very reassuring sound of a beautiful bumble bee as he plods from one flower to another going about his business of helping the world to turn, witghout the bee would we survive? I will not bore you any longer today, but would just like to say, thank you, all of you for the interest in my ramblings.

Hiya, raysparx - how are things with you? Sounds like evrything's good! I, too, am impressed by the wonder of nature at this time of year. Everything's suddenly gone green, the bluebells are out, the swallows are nesting in the stable again & the cuckoo's back! Isn't it lovely, living where we do? K xx
