However, I'd like to echo the sentiments of the first two replies: as a guy, I don't see a problem at all with curvier women - it's only people who have something to prove to others that insist on only choosing partners that match the media's distorted view of what a "perfect figure" is.
i'm small too (5'2) and have been a big size 16 and a small size 6 and all the sizes in between. i never had any problem pulling guys at any size because it's all about feeling happy with what you've got. can i ask how old you are? guys tend to get more realistic the older they get, partly because it's very hard to be stick thin past 20 and partly because they want more than someone who justs looks good but is no fun and doesn't eat and because they've been in bed with a skinny girl and it wasn't that great because they were too breakable! sorry if i've offended anyone...
My experience of men is that they fail to be attracted to women for a variety of stupid reasons such as the female being wealthier, friendlier, cleverer, grumpier, taller, the list is endless. When pressed as to "what's wrong with her" they will blame something to do with her appearance, not because this is what they actually think, most men have trouble articulating that, but because it cannot be argued with. To state the real reason why a man is repelled by a woman, would be to reveal his inner fears. Should he be turned off by her earlobes, thats a matter of taste that cannot be reasoned with, the discussion will be over, the probing of the inner fears will cease. The clever question here was what sort of person you're hoping to attract. Do you want a man that has got to grips with life and can see you for what you are, lovehandles n all, or a boy that is hounded by insecure demon's that he will blame on you. On the other hand, if you're not quite ready for mr right, try the atkins diet, scarily successful but dont go on the pull while your on it coz it makes your breath smell. :-)
Broxi, if guys only wanted perfect figures I would have been out of the running before I'd started 'cos I'm what Indiesinger would probably call stick-thin, & would love to be a bit curvier. It got me down as a teenager but as I got boyfriends who were interested in ME I stopped caring so much. The thing that interests men the most is someone who's interested in them,so smile, ask lots of questions & remember most of them are probably less confident than you. Must go ... got to run around in the shower and see if I can get wet!!
I'm 5"8 and a size 8. Its not all its cracked up to be. I do work a lot to be the way i am but i do think "curvier" women are more approachable. My friends are sized between 12-14 and they do get more attention in clubs so it can be a bit of a turn off being slim i guess :o( so be yourself, smile and shine!
I have two mates one who is a size 10 or 12 and is only 5ft 5in and one who is 5ft 8in and a size 6 or 8 and both have roughly the same personality. You might think that the size 8 gets more attention when they go out together and gets all the lads but you would be wrong. It is the size 12 that gets the attention, she always seems to get lads attention.
Just be yourself and do not worry its good to have some meat on you. If any male only wants you for how you look and would ever consider not going out with you because of your size then they are not worth bothering with.
