MM Links Solutions May 2008 [Week 2]

This second week in the reign of Lady Judy went beautifully smoothly once again, and this time the scoring was brisk. Based on the theme Spring into Action , I can now reveal the chosen links were:

May FAIR
Pole VAULT
Morris MINOR
CLOG Dance

Yet another mixed bag! The obvious "Morris Minor" fooled few people, but there were some alternatives and the Spring theme was so strong, that it deserved to be kept in the game!

As expected, the first to fall was MORRIS MINOR when the initial entrant in Alibobs was the first to �Spring into Action� and claim TWO POINTS. Thereafter a whole string of predictors beat the two-minute window including forward, Grenmus, Aquagility, paulineward & jan1956 to qualify for the same bonus points. By the time that beejay1124 came on the scene, the clock read 09.04 and the bonus points had dried up for that particular hit.

Meanwhile, missmeg was carrying out a double whammy with MORRIS MINOR and POLE VAULT. She picks up FOUR POINTS and qualifies as �Hot Shot of the Week�!

Now, it was Christiana & freebi2 to cash in on double points for scoring on this second hit. There followed a steady stream of single hits until 09.06 when Dinkypuzzled came in as Entrant #17 to score two singles. The morning passed and brought a brand-new player to the fore in the name of anywhen ~ you are most welcome!

We had to wait until 12.31, when AllyLally clumped in with a CLOG DANCE to pick off the third hit. Excellent footwork! But the final hit held on until the evening when wickedtongue made a customary late (but successful) entry with MAY FAIR and carry off the last prize. Once again, an entertaining round from Lady Judy!

I regret that Answerbank Site Faults prevented my entry this week, and, as well, I have been unable to enter the KM links, for the same reasons.

I completely missed on this, or do I mean I am completely miffed.
Struggling as last week, and am still trying to work out the mind of an ex-Northumbrian now in Scotland who is making links that are associated with a part of London, the Olympics, a car that was made in Oxford and a dance associated with mill workers in Lancashire.

I think I got one point for morris minor (my era) but I am not a contender for the crown by a long way.

Finally got to the PC and with delight recognise that I scored a massive ONE (count it) point... along with everyone else, it seems.
