I've just come back from dinner out with friends (and a game of billiards back at their house). We had lots of "okay" wines tonight, but one absolute stonker. Completely FAB, and high on my hot list of wines to go and buy. PLEASE try it !!!

We had a dessert wine. a Monbazillac called DOMAINE DE GRANGE NEUVE. It was a 2001 bottle. It was stunning. If you see it, try it. You will NOT be disappointed.

I may regret this in the morning when I wake up, but you will not regret trying this wine!!!

jugglering, last week I posted this item about dessert wine and, the next day, it slipped my mind.

So I didn't reply to your follow up. I feel a bit rude about that, and I'm sorry.

If you read this, the answer was yes, the wine was a sweet wine, and you wouldn't want it with your main meal, BUT ... it wasn't sweet like sugar, it was sweet like apple pie, cinnamon and spicy honey. It was exquisite.
