It sounds quite normal. I have to get up at 5.30 3 days a week and 6.30 the rest of the week and Im always nodding off watching tv about 9.30 even if its something I really want to see. I try to get to bed before 10.30 but Im a light sleeper so the slightest thing wakes me up.
If Im invited out at night Im always worried about how Im going to stay awake

bertie, I am up at 6am for a 7am start, I finish at 4 though. I am usually sleeping at about the same time as you are, if not, then fading fast.
I don't think there's anything wrong with you at all, it's pretty much a normal amount of time to be awake before feeling the need to sleep.
I'm like a bear with a sore head if I don't get roughly 8 hours sleep.

When I sold bodycare and natural products I was always being asked by people what they could do to stay awake at the end of a long working day, cooking the evening meal, sorting the kids out, tidying the house, ironing etc.etc.
Just when did people lose the plot about the working day followed by a nights sleep of around 6-8 hours?
Its worked well for a very long time so why do people expect to be active for 18-20 hours without the body demanding sleep?
