Got a 32" Finlux for �299 from Tradex a couple of months back - not a top make but you get what you pay for.

tomd,  finlux may not be well known, but I can assure you this brand was VERY high priced a few years ago, and were considered to be the best. Another top make back in the 80's for hi-fi was Bang & Olafson.

Phantaxus..  I bought a 28" widescreen TV from Sommerfield for �199 a few moths ago, they were reduced to �179 then I believe �159. The make is Technosonic. It may not be the best picture available, but I've had no problems with it. I am hoping that plasma & lcd tv's drop more in price in the next cpl of years (no doubt they will) then will get one of those when I need to get a new tv.
