Do you remember when you used to go to get petrol and a pump attendant came out and filled your car up for you ?
I used to get my Suzuki 50 filled up for 75p and it would last me all week.

Yes I remember being horrified when it went up to �1.00 a GALLON - not litre!

when i bought my first motor bike it was four shillings and six pence per gallon. 20.5 pence.

In todays money that would be aprox four and a half pence per litre.

i dont remember the 75p a litre from while i have been driving but it cost me about �50 to fill my car last year and now it costs me about �75-80 depending on the petrol stations price

I think I can remember it being 74.9 and 75.9 pence per litre, but never 75 pence.

It's gone up by over 30pence per litre since I started driving three and a half years ago! :(

our village garage a man still does come out and fill the car up but cost more than 75p more like 50 pound now ..
