We have layed gravel in our garden and our cat keeps soiling in it, can anyone recommend something to deter her from this?

Cats foul to establish territory, and they will re-mark it regularly.
First, find any traces of urine or faces and remove them. Scrub the area with boiling water and strong disinfectant. Rinse and repeat. This will remove the scent and break the 're-marking' circle for your cat. Then scatter some moth balls over the area - they last a few weeks, and can soon be preplaced. Your cat's delicate nose won;t go near them, and she will hopefully mark elsewhere in her territory.

We redid our front garden with gravel and were advised not to use anything too small as cats will probably mistake it for litter and use it!
I am not sure if this is the case for you but if it is, it may be a good idea to try to mix it in with a larger gravel (the small gravel that is and not the cat soiling!), if the above ideas do not work?
