when my brother was a young lad in the 70s, he was a member of some army cadet force or something. they used to go away on weekend camping/live off the land jaunts and he once ate a worm omlette. how disgusting is that?!!! ah - the things we do when we're young, eh? mind you, i like some weird food like kabanos (by the sausage) dipped in tea and mint/tomato/brown sauce sandwiches.

I've eaten a worm omelette as well! Luckily I was blindfolded at the time, otherwise I wouldnt've entered into the "game". It wasn't brilliant - but I've had worse things...like octopus dipped in chocolate, when I was at the Munich Beer festival. Now that was horrible!

yes, chappie - i larfed my arse off when he told me he'd eaten it. he thought he was soooo cool as he'd made it all himself from the land and survivied a night outside. thinking back, it was probably some of the older lads in the group taking the p***! something else i heard that is pretty disgusting is that you can eat the common garden snail (if you keep them in clean water for a bit and purge them of their uneatables. wonder how popular that is...
