anybody know of a reputable suppier of hens in the W Yorkshire area, I need to restock my flock, local supplier has died. NB hens are kept in ideal conditions as pets, eggs are the bonus

have you thought of rehoming some battery hens you get eggs and give them a nice free life not sure of the web site somthing like the battery hen welfare trust

Ex-Batts would be a wonderful idea. I have 6 girls who, after a couple of weeks of adjustment, lay an egg each every day.
It's wonderful to see these poor threadbare creatures blossom & bloom with a couple of months tlc.
Please do consider having some.
