Hi, I am looking into caring for elderly people in their own homes. Does anyone do this? If so, what is it like? Thanks in advance.

Yes, Social Services do it. And it really is hard work.

Have you ever done this before, looked after elderly people who can't get themselves out of bed in the morning or who have soiled themselves or who can't feed themselves? You really have to be dedicated to do this.

No, I haven't done this before. I'm wanting to try something completely differnt from what i've done before and, hopefully, get some job satisfaction.
Contact social services first.

They may point you towards an agency.

If not look through your local yellow pages.

Try and gain training in care and ensure that whoever employs you that your CRB check is taken and is up to date.
