can anybody suggest a wine to use in bucks fizz rather than champagne? thanks

anything fizzy will do it, method champagnoise types are the best (like champagne, the sparke is added by a second fermentation in the bottle). If you like it sweet, then asti, if "champagne like" then any of the australian sparklers...look for one made by a champagne house for the best kind, imho. I know that cava is popular but they all taste like fizzy dreck to me

PS I am sure that you know this but if you take budget orange juice and mix it with cheap fizz, it WILL NOT taste the same as better quality products, but you can lift a so-so wine by using excellent quality oj
