Got Virgin broadband installed. Having problems with history of websites visited as in it does not save them. Also when visiting any sites i am a member of, it is always asking for user name & password. In the past it was just the password to be entered. Checked through options and it is set for webpages visited to be be held in history for 20 days. Can anyone please help???

Nothing to do with Virgin - it's your browser settings; check how long yours is set to keep the history for.

It was okay before we had Virgin Broadband. Browser settings, as I said above is set for 20 days.
Are you using IE or Firefox, or something else?

I can assure you it is nothing whatsever to do with your ISP

Ethel , Internet Explorer we are using. As i said it was working fine until we got Virgin in>
Have you checked Tools - internet options - content - settings

And tick all the boxes.

Restart IE
I'm sorry but I'll have to say it as well, your broadband provider doesnt store your web history, your computer or, more accurately, your browser does.

Thanks for that Twenty20, I am well aware of that. What I am saying is that before we got Virgin in they were usually saved BUT since we got broadband they do not seem to save.
We understand what you are saying but the installing of Virgin in simply coincidence.

Have you done as already advised and restarted the browser?
Are you using a ccleaner or system mechanic or deleting your brower history, if you are thats the problem, some programs automatically clear history and links which you have saved, it might be worth seeing if you have any cleaner software on it. Lee
