Is there like a techinical name or job title for the people that stop you on the street from Scope, Help The Aged, and pretend to me be really nice and say "do you have 1 minute".
I call them annoying w@nkers, but they must have an actual job title?
Wimbledon is effin full of em, and im sure thery were banned from the centre.
Charity workers?
just dont make eye contact and if they are agressive enough to stop you get them to fill out the form then refuse to sign it... the rest of them see you do this and then dont bother you again.
CHUCKFICKENS HAD THE RIGHT - WORD CANVASSERS .... IVE HEARD ONE OF THESE TALKING ON THE TRAIN ,,, THE WAY THEY DISMISS THE PUBLIC ....AS "FINANCIAL TARGETS " ....IN ALL HONESTY THE GENERAL PUBLIC are to , polite to them ..cos they are attached to a charity ,... if some one stopped you in the street ,, selling double glazing , or home improvemnets ,... you would turn your nose up at them ..cos its charity , a lot of good willed people ,,,dont want to "shoo them off abruptly " . ...
I have to agree with law drop-out (why the capitals though?!)
these Charity Muggers get paid 10-15/hour, and the charity they have emblazoned across their jacket that day sure as hell doesn't see a penny of it! They are, in the main, pushy and forceful, with no morals.
I can't understand why anyone would do this, regrdless of the money. And if I wanted to give money to a charity, I would!
soory about the capitals ......previously ... if you wasnt to donate to any charity , u can do this thru internet .. or hust over the phone ..with out a "stopper on the streeter " ...... one other subscriber was right ,,, in the first yer of sighning up , the charity probably gets nothing ....... and if you cancel after a year ..well stating the obvious , the charity , have effectively just been used ..in directly /
