whats it asking you to pay for?

If it is anti virus sofware (most likely) download the free version of AVG from link below, then goto Start menu > settings > control panel, select add remove programs and find the software that is asking you to pay for it and select it then click on remove.

Once you have removed it restart computer and then install the free version of AVG you have just downloaded, restart computer again and you will have virus protection without being prompted to pay for it all the time.

Next time it pops up, make a note of the product it wants you to buy. It sounds like WinAntiVirus or one of it's rogueish dierivatives.
Sounds like you've got spyware to me. Download the free version of Adaware, that should shift it. I think the site is http://www.lavasoft.com to get it from.
It is definately spyware do a spyware scan with www.spywareterminator.com download it and make sure it's all updated before running and then run a complete scan this should remove it, ad-aware doesn't remove smitfraud which is a common spyware problem which affects your interface. Hope this helps.

Adaware is old news. Try this.

Make sure it is updated before running the scan. If that doesnt work, general purpose anti-spyware progs arent strong enough.
