i find Ibuprofen seems to work best for me,

I find Migraleve works well for me, I take 2 pink ones when it's starting off and try to sleep it off.

Have you identified any triggers which could help you avoid them?

Those cool and soothe sheets are good too on your forehead.

I have suffered from migraine for years, the only one I find helps is IMGRAN (sumatriptan)
I get mine on subscription but you can get it over the counter now.
Take one as soon as you feel one coming on.

like most people I find that just going to bed and trying to sleep it off is the best thing. Other than that I just try to take the strongest painkiller I can get but the problem is I'm usually sick with it so sometimes it's not worth trying to take anything

you can try 4head (the cold stick thing that zzxxee mentions) as that helps take the edge off a headache. this will also help if you are vomiting and therefore pills won't work.

There is nothing worse in the world than a Migraine. I just try to sleep it off also because i get the nausia and sickness with it, as well as problems focusing or flashing lights. Has anybody had something like their fingers going numb with the Migraine too?? The last one I had was really strong and i couldn't feel my fingers.

Make sure that you see a GP if it goes on for more than 4 days. I am currently on beta blockers to work as a preventative measure and it has stopped the migraines from happening as frequent.
