what ingredients go to make icing sugar. thanks/

it's just granulated or caster sugar that is ground down into a powdery form

I have used my electric grinder to grind caster or granulated sugar but it does not seem to be ground enough. It is ok for butter icing but fnot for use as fondant icing

Starch is often added to the sugar.
