No, a fringe isn't old fashioned, but be careful with it because if you've gained a wee bit of weight on your face, it might make your face look more round that it really is.

My face isn't fat, but having a fringe makes it look round so I settled for one that sweeps to the left.

Have you got magazines lying around? Have a look at all the models in the adverts, see what their styles are like, invest in a couple of hair mags too. Go to a good hairdresser and ask their opinion too.

The main question is do YOU want your fringe back??

No not old fashioned and so many different kinds you could have, feathery ones, thick ones, side swept ones.

Asking a hairdresser for the best kind to suit your face shape would be a good idea as not all hairstyles suit every face shape.

Depends on the kind of hair you have as well, thicker hair can be better than fine hair for a full on fringe. I have really fine hair with a wave so mine has to be more wispy and strightened every morning (don't even mention rain!).

Also bear in mind how manageable your hair is, naturally straight is great for fringes for it it's curly or frizzy or wavy make sure you can keep it looking nice.

If you're not sure I'd maybe go for a longer more sideswept fringe so if you don't want to keep it you can at least clip it back while it grows out.

I was thinking of having more of a fringe in after watching Jennifer Love Hewitt on Ghost Whisperer last night. She has beautiful hair and a lovely heart shaped face which the fringe really sets off.
^ I wish she'd ditch those eyelashes though!
Jenna - where can I buy the faces that go with the hair!!??
I wish I knew :)
Jenna - I am stil thrilled I managed to upload Pickles!!
Just a wee comment....Jenna, she looks horribly thin in your second (straight fringe) pic!!! Or is it just me? Ewwww...she actually scared me! lol
