MM Links Solutions June 2008 [Week 5]

This fifth and final week in the extended reign of The Dinky Duke brought headaches to several entrants, but those that kept their nerve scored the points. Using a theme based on Puzzles, I can now reveal the chosen links as being:

GOOD Vocabulary
Spelling TEST
LATERAL Thinking
GENERAL Knowledge

Once again there were plenty of points for the early birds!

The first entrant was one from the leading pack, namely Alibobs, who began with a double whammy in SPELLING TEST and GENERAL KNOWLEDGE to claim FOUR POINTS after bonuses. These were immediately duplicated by bridgenut for another FOUR POINTS. There at the opening was freebi 2 who added LATERAL THINKING to the earlier to General Knowledge for yet another FOUR POINTS.

With three links now available, other four-pointers were jan1956 & kettledrum and single early hits were registered by AllyLally, ulysses100, centrino, forward & JMR27. Worthy of mention with double hits (slightly out of time) were Grenmus & paulineward and we even got a triple hit from devadiva. Excellent!


The very last link was GOOD VOCABULARY and that went to Entrant #22 who was the eagle-eyed Christiana entering her guesses at 09.29am and threw in Lateral Thinking as an extra! This type of late success is a regular event with Christiana.
