we had a problem with e bay but basically we sent moneyto the seller and didnt get what we wanted in return problem is that my stupid brother didnt get the item number can we still try and get compensation from e bay even though we dont have the item number?? thanks in advance

If you go into your account it should still have the item listed in 'items I've won' or similar - they usually store them there for a few months or until youdelete them.  Or if you can remember the sellers name you could try to look them up look at items they've sold?  If you have their name and dates etc its worth a try - good luck!

well ya see coz it was so long ago and the computer crashed it was after 30 days when we got the computer sorted and it had been deleted from the list we looked him up and he was no longer a member we have contacted him so many times and he hasnt contacted us back the blokes a pillock lol thanks tho pagey3

If u paid via paypal your transaction will still be in their history

if you pay via paypal you can claim it back.  if you paid by cheque, stop the cheque

You've probably deleted them, but you should have recieved emails from eBay to confirm your win etc.

 

I've never had problems with eBay sellers (touch wood), but have heard that they are often pretty lax about helping those that have. If you have copies of the mail you sent the seller, it may help.

In a list of *feedback* already left or needing to be left, ebay should list every transaction that you've been involved in no matter how old. The item numbers will be listed there alongside the other guy's username.

thanks stevie 21 but because this happened oct 04 we have no trace we bought it and the seller has actually been kicked off e bay there is no trace of him but i read that there is a new fraud system so lets see what happens with that but wudnt e bay keep a record somewhere that we bought the item??
