Credit
I was wondering if any of you know about a credit card out there that has no preset spending limit other than AMEX. I have tried the gold AMEX but it really sucks! i prefer VISA or MASTERCARD due to their convenience and wide acceptance and also their customer service.

This means that you have to pay for everything at the end of the month, and can't pay off a minimum amount as you can with a credit card.
All (UK) Credit card companies will set up a limit on your account. I beleive that AMEX do aswell. This is according to your circumstances.
They must do this as what is the point of gicing a 20,000 limit to someone who earns 12000 a year. It would be irresponsible.
Sorry, also Visa and Mastercard are brands not issuers of cards......hence you can apply to Halifax Bank for a Visa or a Mastercard depending on your preference (in the UK my experience is that any shops that accept visa accept the other).
This means that the custoemr service experience is individual to the card issuer - not the brand. If you son't like Halifax Visa, you can try Barclays Visa (Barclaycard) etc.
If you really want a chargecard like AMEX (and I really see no point in them), if you earn over 45,000 you can apply to Natwest for a Advantage Premier Account - it costs 195 per year but you get certain adavntages, including a charge card.
Remember though, that you may as well put things on your credit card instead of charge card as you get extra rights (Consumer credit act)
