hello.

I am on yasimin. about 4 weeks ago ihad my period. Then the day after my period stopped I had unprotected sex. I have taken a pregnancy test and it has come bac negative. HELP!!!

you could be but it sounds doubtful you are most fertile about 14 days after your period. thats when the egg is released. sperm can only live in your body for 5-7 days so they would have died before you egg was released if it was only the day after your period.

is yasimim a contraceptive pill? and are you taking it correctly? If so then chances are that your not pregnant at all. A negative test if you only had unprotected sex 4 weeks would also suggest that you are not pregnant.

speak to your nurse for more information as it may be that you do not understand the way the contraceptive works. Also use condoms as a secondary measure to prevent pregnancy but also as a barrier method against STDs.
