The EMS light in my Astra keeps continually coming on. When it does the power goes from the drive until it goes off again. It has been doing this very occasionally for a while and I have subsequently had to have the car in to have the fuel injection system repaired, the glow plugs are OK also and it is full of oil. The garage I had the work done cannot find any fault with the car at all. The code shows critical error. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong here. I am wanting to get rid of the car but obviously would like to let anyone who buys it what the problem is.

i would book it in with your nearest vauxhall dealer for investigation, this may cost you in the short term but it will be worth it in the long run as you may end spending more taking it to a normal garage over & again,im not saying normal garage's don't know what they are doing just in this case as it's not coming up with a specific trouble code, for example a crank sensor or alike at least then you could try a specific component.
