Sick
15 Answers
I have lived with a phobia called 'emetophobia'. Its a recongnised condition. I cant be near anyone that feels sick, or has a stomach upset for fear they may throw up. Cannot bear to see, smell, hear anyone throw up, I hate walking around town after a weekend as the streets outside the bars etc are always covered in pavement pizzas, YUK. I am rarely sick myself, and will do anythying possible to prevent myself from being sick, even if I have food poisoning.....anyone else have this phobia?

Even on holiday I try not to sit near plants or trees when i'm dining out. Extremely embarrassing when a grown woman of 30 pushes a random toddler out of the way and bursts into shivers and tears in front of a load of people on holiday, and then having to explain to the kid's parents about my phobia.
I'm not bothering to do anything about it though as there aren't any lizards in the UK, apart from pets.
Apart from that, I had a mate who had a phobia of buttons and went out with a guy who was afraid of large boats.
