MM Links Solutions July 2008 [Week 2]
13 Answers
This second week in the present reign of Princess Pauline went according to plan (what plan?) on a theme The Visit to mark arrival of a special guest in sarumite (remember this name) and several ABers popped in during the afternoon. The weather was a little cool, the pollen count was low, but the giggle count was very high! I can now reveal Pauline's chosen links were:
Case HISTORY
PLAIN Clothes
Money SPIDER
CONTOUR Map
Once again, there was some very healthy scoring with three entrants landing four points and beginning to make the running!

The first to fall went to Entrant #2 who kicked off with the double whammy in CASE HISTORY and MONEY SPIDER when sarumite returned in pdq time to gain FOUR POINTS. The influence of the mind waves of the setter under the same roof clearly having an impact! Within one minute, forward once again was swift to pounce and duplicated the double whammy of sarumite to claim Four Points and evsajo submitted her CASE HISTORY and was deemed to be insane (shouldnt be left on her own) so given Two Points and locked safely away in the cellar!
At the same recorded time entered ex-champion, wickedtongue with a repeated Money Spider ~ but also with a new link in PLAIN CLOTHES to complete the trio of 4-pointers. There followed a lean spell with singles being scored until well after 11.00 when yet another ex-champion hit gold with CONTOUR MAP to pick off the last of the links. This was ladyalex who was accompanied by lordalex for the first time (welcome) who clearly plays his own game with its own set of rules (we make allowances for everyone!)
That was more or less it for the scoring. The Ontices managed to score ONE POINT between them. This is their first point in six weeks and celebrations are in order, but it wasnt quite good enough to be designated HOT SHOT of the WEEK. That honour must go to fordward for their sustained scoring over these last two weeks!

The League Table after this second week is:
SIX POINTS: forward & wickedtongue
FOUR POINTS: sarumite
THREE POINTS: cliffyg
And five others on TWO POINTS!
My apologies to my very good friends the Ontices, I just wanted to mention them in despatches. I hope you are both enjoying the better weather in Canada!
Next week, there will still be everything to play for ~ and my thanks again to Lady Limerick for an entertaining weekend with the family!
This is crofter signing off for another week.
See you next week: Same time Same place
Until then: HAPPY LINKING!

THIS is deeply suspicious, the points, the points, and maybe needs referring to the third umpire!
There is no doubt that sarumite, evsajo and crofter will have travelled in PLAIN CLOTHES to arrive at Schloss Pauline, she having checked their CASE HISTORY and their MONEY SPIDER current account.
Now whether THEY checked any CONTOUR MAPS is open to conjecture!!!!
That crofter is still posting is some encouragement that one at least has escaped from the permafrost of Stockport, even if to be landed with the task of rounding up stirks!

Hi Slaney
Our cunning plan is so cunning that the setters haven't yet realized that we are answering next year's questions.
Mr. O. goofed this week by scoring one. That was a big error on his part.
Thanks Pauline and Crofter and congrats to all the high scorers.
Crofter: Weather pretty hot over here. Possibly our brains are fried.
