if you want some well dressings rabbity, carry on up through Buxton and out onto the Staffordshire Moors. Lots of lovely little villages and hamelts that have well dressing going on. Make time to go to the Peak Village shopping centre if you can, as well. http://www.dms-visitpeakdistrict.com/thedms.as p?dms=13&feature=2&venue=6020245 All the shops are built in the stonework you see there. It's not a big place, but there's a brill shop selling toys of yesteryear, and another where they sell hundreds of different candles and organic body/face creams. beautiful!
As for the rest of the convo - I'm lost now! : (
Have the DVD of Stanley Baxter too. You couldn't get away with half of that these days. Never had a prob with Scots accents, my Mum needed subtitles for Hamish Macbeth. She smiled when my ex talked, but her eyes said she'd no idea what he was on about
icey - thanks for the tips. I'll take notes. Never thought of Staffs moors for well dressings... and the Peak Village Shop centre sounds right up my street.
Icey and rabbity, they do well dressings in the next village to me - Penistone, every year. One large by the adults and several small ones by all the local schools.
