I've often used sunflower seed oil, but does anyone know if the seeds as such can be used in cookery or in salad? Thanks.

Sunflower seeds are a great snack and are also a rich source of many valuable nutrients. It is eaten raw or roasted in salads, breads, or trail mix, ground into sunflower butter, and used in feed for birds. The oil of the seed is extracted for Sunflower oil, which is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids. I love to add it to breads and muffins.

Isn't that a GREAT website,lajohn?.....so much info-I discovered it a year or so ago. And I do agree on sunflower seeds. I love the butter-yum!!
You need to use peeled seeds though!!
