I've often used sunflower seed oil, but does anyone know if the seeds as such can be used in cookery or in salad? Thanks.

It is eaten raw or roasted in salads, breads, or trail mix, ground into sunflower butter, and used in feed for birds. The oil of the seed is extracted for Sunflower oil, which is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids. I love to add it to breads and muffins.
