Maybe it's more of a city thing but was waiting at a crossing yesterday and was amazed at the amount of people who take no notice of crossings, traffic lights, traffic flow etc... and just leg it across the road, especially round here where traffic comes from so many different directions and you can't physically see all the lights.

I had to yell at a couple to try and stop them including one guy with headphones on completely oblivious to a car coming right for him who I almost had to grab out of the way potentially endangering myself.

It's quite lucky some of them weren't injured or killed as there were some near misses!

Is it just me, why the rush for the sake of a few more minutes and being safe?

Sounds like Rome peolpe dash across roads with a total disregard for their life there. However zebra crossings mean nothing over there, cars never seem to stop for people waiting by the side of the road and only have to stop when someone is actually on the crossing itself!!

Do you live in Rome you lucky thing or just a city of dare devils?
I notice this a lot jenna. I cringe when I see people with prams running across the road yards away from a pelican crossing
I have noticed this too!!

It makes me laugh when folks amble along on the pavement without a care in the world, yet when they come to a crossing, dash across like they're late for a meeting!!!!!!
and what is it with cyclists? do they just not see red traffic lights, or do they think they are above all that??

and yes, testing the traffic with a pram/buggy makes my blood boil!
